Columbus, OH – In recognition of Women’s History Month, Who’s Who In Black Columbus has announced the launch of its inaugural Women of Excellence Columbus celebration, honoring the leadership and achievements of African American women who are making a lasting impact across Central Ohio.
The new initiative will recognize 50 outstanding Black women whose leadership, innovation, and community service are shaping industries and uplifting communities throughout the region.
As a proud media sponsor, Urban Trendsetters will help spotlight the stories and accomplishments of these remarkable women who continue to break barriers while creating opportunities for others.
Organizers are inviting the community to nominate women who exemplify excellence in leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Nominees should demonstrate professional success within their industry while also serving as role models and active contributors to community service or organizational leadership.
Nominations for the Women of Excellence program opened March 2 and will close March 25, 2026.
Selected honorees will be recognized during a signature celebration event and featured in The Book of Women, a commemorative publication designed to preserve the legacy and achievements of influential Black women across Central Ohio.
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations for women who are transforming industries, mentoring future leaders, and driving positive change in the community.
