Mela Vitamins, creators of Daily Essentials, the first multivitamin designed specifically for women of color, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with WNBA champions Azurá Stevens (LA Sparks) and Dana Evans (Chicago Sky). Together, they aim to inspire health equity and holistic wellness for communities of color.

The athletes, now Investors and Brand Ambassadors for Mela, are joining forces with the brand to address persistent health disparities impacting women of color. This collaboration focuses on raising awareness about vital health concerns, like vitamin D deficiency, which affects over 80% of Black women and is linked to increased risks of heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and diabetes.

“As an athlete, I’ve seen how access to the right resources can make all the difference,” said Stevens. “Partnering with Mela Vitamins allows me to advocate for Black women and ensure they have the resources needed to thrive.” CEO Ashley Harmon, who founded Mela after her own battle with vitamin D deficiency, highlighted the significance of this mission, stating, “This partnership is about creating meaningful solutions to empower women of color to take control of their health.”

Mela Vitamins aims to transform the wellness industry by addressing the unique nutritional needs of women of color. Its flagship product, Daily Essentials, combines essential nutrients, probiotics, and adaptogens to support holistic health. Beyond products, Mela’s commitment extends to advancing health equity and accessibility.

With Stevens and Evans as passionate advocates, this partnership is set to spark a movement that prioritizes inclusive wellness, equity, and community empowerment.
