Nashville, TN — The stage is set, the stars are aligned, and the gospel world is ready to celebrate a historic milestone as the Stellar Gospel Music Awards marks its 40th anniversary in Music City, USA. The prestigious event will take place Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the iconic Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

This year’s monumental celebration will be hosted by none other than gospel royalty: BeBe and CeCe Winans. CeCe, who is also one of this year’s top nominees with eight nods, joins her brother in what promises to be an unforgettable night of music, ministry, and meaningful moments.

Urban Trendsetters Television Joins the Celebration

Adding to the excitement, Urban Trendsetters Television will be on hand to cover all the glitz and inspiration from the UTS TV Stellar Red Carpet Pre-Show. Viewers across the country can catch the full awards broadcast on Urban Trendsetters Television on Friday, September 6 at 7 PM EST. Tune in to witness gospel’s biggest night, packed with powerful performances, iconic appearances, and the honoring of four decades of gospel excellence.

Leading the Pack: Pastor Mike Jr. & Jason Nelson

Topping the list of nominees this year are Pastor Mike Jr. and Jason Nelson, each with nine nominations in major categories such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year. Their latest projects—Mike Jr.’s “I Got Away EP” and Nelson’s “You Belong: Live in Durham”—have touched hearts and dominated the charts.

Right behind them is CeCe Winans, with eight nominations, including Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for her uplifting project “More Than This,” featuring the hit single “That’s My King.”

Also earning multiple nods are gospel greats such as the Mississippi Mass Choir (6 nominations), Tamela Mann, Adia, Deitrick Haddon, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kenny Lewis & One Voice, Micah Lee, Chandler Moore, and FK&M (Fred Hammond, Keith Staten, and Marcus Cole).

Fan Voting & Radio Honors

Fan participation plays a key role again this year with public voting open in two standout categories: Urban Single/Performance of the Year and Praise and Worship Song of the Year. Voting, powered by Tide, is open until July 18, 2025, at thestellarawards.com.

The show also highlights excellence in Gospel Radio, recognizing top contributors in six categories including Gospel Announcer of the Year and Syndicated Gospel Radio Show of the Year.
