Business Spotlight on Vernita Johnson of Shy-Stones

Vernita, the owner of Shy-Stones, established the business in 2004.   All of the pieces are hand-made.  She loves stones and has been fascinated with them since she was 10 years old.  As a child, she thought she had the best rock collection in her neighborhood.   She would spend hours in the dirt trying to find the perfect stones to add to her collection.

Today, her rock collection is quite different. Now, she searches for stones to design beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.  Along with using stones, she includes other elements such as crystals, Czech glass, metals, and shells.  Shy-Stones pieces can be worn on any occasion. It can even bring life to a casual outfit. So treat yourself and add Shy-Stones to your own jewelry collection. Please visit her at  You can follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
