Join Urban Trendsetters News Magazine and Media’s 17th Anniversary and Black History Month Celebration. This year UTS is proud of the part they play in Black History as they launch the 1st Black Woman-Owned broadcast television network UTS TV.
Let Us Put Your Business in the Streets! Since the first issue of Urban Trendsetters News Magazine on February 7, 2003, this has been the motto or slogan for the Urban Trendsetters brand, and they have stayed true to their word. Urban Trendsetters has been celebrating the great and positive aspects of the African American community in the streets of Central Ohio and beyond through the pages of over 350 newspapers, 75,000 email subscribers, over 1000 media sponsored events and millions of viewers to their website for over 17 years.
Moving beyond the streets Urban Trendsetters Media announces the expansion of their publishing, digital, online and outreach brand with the launch of a new multicast entertainment television network – Urban Trendsetters TV. UTS TV began its testing phase during October 2019 in Columbus, Ohio on WCSN TV, 32.10 with nationally syndicated programming featuring African American Short Films, Black Music Honors and nationally syndicated television shows such as The Verdict with Emmy Nominated Judge Hatchet, and Leverage. Original programming schedule will include Columbus Black on Blast hosted by Kevin Lloyd of Columbus Black, Conflicted Countdown with D.J. Dommy Styles and Allen Stowe, UTS TV’s Production Director, and CORE, UTS TV’s community news and outreach television show hosted by UTS Founder, Sharon S. Gordon among a few. The UTS Vision 2020 Launch is a 10-city tour and introduction of the network to the communities we will serve. The first stretch includes Nashville, Louisville, Houston, Atlanta, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, LA, and is scheduled from February to August. The network runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Depending upon the market channel affiliate UTS TV can be found on over-the-air (OTA), cable, satellite, and will launch on various streaming devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV this Spring. Urban Trendsetters is fortunate to call Columbus home for many reasons. The most important reason, however, is because according to Wallet Hub a personal-finance social network compiles socio-demographic data and ranks some of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. by how closely they resemble the rest of the country. Columbus ranked 15 out of 366, between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Louisville, Kentucky.
